Exe Estuary - Slavonian Grebe still in the estuary today.

Sunday 27th

Bolt Tail - Dotterel still at Bolberry Down at seaward end of ploughed field behind car park at 18.30.

Plymouth - Osprey still at the north end of the Plym Estuary then flew southeast at 12.20.

Stover CP - Osprey over the lake viewed from the hide.

Isley Marsh - 3 Spoonbills still present.

Saturday 26th

South Huish Marsh - Glossy Ibis still present until 08.00 then flew off.

Torquay - Wryneck feeding on grassy slope in residential area at Lincombes (Thanks G. Cooper)

Bolt Tail - Dotterel still in ploughed field behind car park at Bolberry Down.

Lundy - Common Rosefinch on the island today.

Plym Estuary - Osprey fishing on the estuary then flew south at 12.00.

Stover CP - Osprey circled over lake for 15 minutes viewed from hide.

Friday 25th

South Huish Marsh - Glossy Ibis on the marsh behind South Milton Sands car park, having flown past Salcombe late morning.

Bolt Tail - Juvenile Dotterel still on Bolberry Down in ploughed field behind car park at 15.30.

Lundy - Ortolan Bunting on the island today, also Snow Bunting and Firecrest.

Start Point - Black Redstart present.

Isley Marsh - 3 Spoonbills on the reserve.

Thursday 24th

Wembury - Rose-coloured Starling showing well on wires by Odd Wheel pub then flew to Traine Farm at 16.30 (Thanks S. Green)

Bolt Tail - Juvenile Dotterel still on Bolberry Down today in ploughed field behind car park (Thanks A. Leslie)

Paignton - Osprey flew over Brantwood Drive today.

Tuesday 22nd

Wembury - Juvenile Rose-coloured Starling again on wires at Traine Farm at 14.00.

Bolt Tail - Dotterel still in ploughed field behind car park and Bolberry Down at 07.20 but no further sign by early evening.

Prawle Point - Wryneck in scrub around the bunkers at 11.30, and 10 Balearic Shearwaters past by 10.30.

Lundy - Red-breasted Flycatcher still in Millcombe Valley, and a Sooty Shearwater past South Light.

Bradiford Water - Spotted Crake still present at 07.20. Please do not enter the reserve.

Exe Estuary - Osprey flew north east over Lympstone marines camp at mid-day (Thanks R. Eaton)

Cockwood - Slavonian Grebe still in the Exe Estuary today (Thanks M. Youdale)

Bowling Green Marsh - 2 juvenile Little Stints present, also feral Barnacle Goose (M. Youdale)

Braunton - Juvenile Curlew Sandpiper with Dunlin on River Caen by Horsey Island, and 3 Spoonbills on south side of River Taw (Thanks J. Thorogood)

Dawlish Warren - Redstart still present, also 3 Greenshank and 2 Whimbrel.

Monday 21st

Wembury - Juvenile Rose-coloured Starling still present today, showing well on wires at Traine Farm (Thanks R. Billington)

Bolt Tail - Dotterel still on Bolberry Down this morning in ploughed field behind radio mast, also 2 Tree Pipits, Merlin and Redstart.

Bradiford Water - Juvenile Spotted Crake still on the DBWPS reserve at SS540340 early morning. Please do not enter the reserve.

Lundy - Red-breasted Flycatcher in Millcombe Valley.

Fremington - Spotted Redshank still in the Pill at 08.40 with Redshank flock.

Instow - Mediterranean Gull off the cricket ground at high tide.

Sunday 20th

Bolt Tail - Dotterel in ploughed field on Bolberry Down behind radio mast with 6 Golden Plovers until 13.30 but no further sign by late afternoon (Thanks A. Doidge). Wryneck, 3 Whinchats, 3 Redstarts and a Garden Warbler also present.

Soar - Probable Montagu's Harrier (juvenile) flew north east at 17.45. (A. Doidge)

Wembury - Rose-coloured Starling again on wires opposite the Odd Wheel pub at 17.30.

Kingston - Red-backed Shrike on fence behind Westcombe Beach today.

Dawlish Warren - 3 Whimbrel and a Little Stint on the beach this morning (Thanks J. Almond)

Bowling Green Marsh - 4 Avocet, Wood Sandpiper, Green Sandpiper, Curlew Sandpiper and Little Stint present at high tide this morning (Thanks T. Bragg)

Preston - Red-necked Grebe reported off Preston Sands.

Thurlestone - Curlew Sandpiper on the beach opposite the golf course this morning.

Exe Estuary - Slavonian Grebe still off Cockwood.

Saturday 19th

Northam Burrowes - Red-throated Pipit at Northam Burrowes County Park on golf course by 8th tee at 08.10 then flew towards Burrows.

Seaton - 6 Glossy Ibises (all juveniles) in field north of Colyford Common viewed from gateway until 12.30 then flew east (later seen in Dorset and Hampshire)

East Soar - 10 Chiffchaffs, 7 Wheatears, 3 Whinchats, 3 Blackcaps, Redstart, Spotted Flycatcher and a Garden Warbler this morning (Thanks A. Doidge)

Exmouth - 3 Pale-bellied Brent Geese with 16 Dark-bellied Brent Geese off the Imperial Recreation Ground on the receding tide (Thanks R. Ormerod)

Dawlish Warren - 2 Redstarts and 2 Mediterranean Gulls present.

Instow - Juvenile Curlew Sandpiper still east of the cricket pitch this evening, also 4 Mediterranean Gulls.

Friday 18th

Bradiford NR - Spotted Crake again on edge of scrape as tide receded at 08.50, also 18 Bar-tailed Godwits on nearby River Taw. (Thanks M. Clements)

Exminster Marshes - Short-eared Owl hunting over the marshes this afternoon (Thanks J. Almond)

Kingsbridge Estuary - 95 Wigeon, 2 Brent Geese, Mediterranean Gull and an Osprey on the estuary today (Thanks A. Doidge)

Thursday 17th

Prawle Point - Melodious Warbler at seaward end of Pig's Nose Valley 60m north east of the gate between 08.30 and 08.40, also Pied Flycatcher, Redstart and Garden Warbler present. (Thanks D. Cope)

Seaton - Pectoral Sandpiper still on Black Hole Marsh and showing well until dusk.

Exe Estuary - Osprey flew high over Lympstone towards Topsham (Thanks R. Eaton)

Thurlestone - 2 Little Stints on Thurlestone Marsh.

Instow - Curlew Sandpiper on the cricket pitch this evening.

Wednesday 16th

Wembury - Juvenile Rose-coloured Starling on wires by the pub at 18.50.

Seaton - Pectoral Sandpiper on Black Hole Marsh this morning, and still showing well mid afternoon.

Prawle Point - Merlin, Hobby and Redstart present today, also 4+ Bottle-nosed Dolphins, Grey Seal and Hummingbird Hawkmoth. (Thanks N. Pinhorn)

Appledore - 2 Pale-bellied Brent Geese in the estuary with 120 Wigeon this morning (Thanks N. Bastin)

Bowling Green Marsh - 2 Curlew Sandpipers, Little Stint and a Garganey on the marsh.

Exmouth - Female Garganey from Mudbank Lane at 09.40.

Monday 14th

Seaton - 2 Little Stints on Black Hole Marsh this afternoon.

Instow - 3 Mediterranean Gulls and a White Wagtail on the cricket pitch this evening.

Sunday 13th

East Soar - 4 Willow Warblers, 3 Spotted Flycatchers, 3 Whinchats, 2 Blackcaps, Pied Flycatcher and a Yellow Wagtail today (Thanks A. Doidge)

Isley Marsh - Spoonbill still.

Saturday 12th

Thurlestone - Honey Buzzard over South Milton Ley at 08.00 then over Thurlestone at 14.00. Garganey on Thurlestone Marsh.

Bowling Green Marsh - 24 Little Egrets, 12 Greenshanks and 2 Green Sandpipers on the marsh (Thanks S.Turner)

Taw/Torridge Estuary - Adult Osprey hunting near river Caen over high tide (Thanks N. Bastin)

Instow - 16 Mediterranean Gulls and an adult Black Tern present at 09.30

Isley Marsh - Spoonbill still present mid-morning.

Friday 11th

Dawlish Warren - Black Kite flew south down the Exe Estuary mid-morning. Again no sign of Aquatic Warbler on Warren Point but 2 Curlew Sandpipers present.

Start Point - Female Montagu's Harrier flew east at 09.00, also 50,000+ Swallows and 500+ Sand Martins through.

Prawle Point - 300 Gannets, 2 Storm Petrels, 2 Common Scoter, Balearic Shearwater, Sooty Shearwater, Sandwich Tern, Arctic Tern, and a Puffin past in 4.5 hours this afternoon, also 2 Wheatears on the headland (Thanks T. Bragg)

Plymouth - Osprey fishing over the Plym Estuary at 17.00 (Thanks A. Leslie)

Exmouth - 3 Pale-bellied Brent Geese on rocks off The Maer at 07.30 before flying east.

Thursday 10th

Dawlish Warren - Aquatic Warbler on Warren Point this morning but no sign this evening. Curlew Sandpiper in the Bight and Mediterranean Gull offshore.

Bradiford Water - Spotted Crake again, viewed from the verge of the car park by the 5-bar gate at 16.55. Please do not enter reserve.

Dartmoor - Male Hen Harrier flew east from Duck's Pool towards Ryder's Hill at 13.26, and Jack Snipe near Nun's Cross Farm (Thanks T. Bragg)

Bowling Green Marsh - Osprey still present early evening, viewable from the hide and a Garganey on the marsh.

Plymouth - Osprey still on the Plym Estuary.

South Milton Ley - Osprey today.

Braunton - Osprey at the mouth of the river Caen viewed from the fishermen's huts at 15.30.

Wednesday 9th

Prawle Point - Tawny Pipit reported on east side of Prawle Point in stubble field with Meadow Pipits.

Penhill Marsh - Spoonbill still.

Fremington Quay - Spotted Redshank still present along with a Greenshank and a Mediterranean Gull.

Tuesday 8th

Berry Head - 38 Common Scoter, 25 Balearic Shearwaters, 14 Great Skuas, 11 Manx Shearwaters, 9 Common Terns, 7 Arctic Skuas, 3 Little Gulls, Sooty Shearwater, Pomarine Skua and 8+ Bottle-nosed Dolphins past today (Thanks M. Langman)

Exminster Marshes - No sign of Wilson's Phalarope this morning.

Fremington Quay - Spotted Redshank still present as well as a Mediterranean Gull mid-afternoon.

Monday 7th

Exminster Marshes - First winter Wilson's Phalarope showing well on the large pool by the car park, then flew to main lagoon at 16.40.

Start Point - 531 Gannets, 92 Kittiwakes, 21 Sandwich Terns, 13 Balearic Shearwaters, 11 Common Terns, 11 Arctic Skuas, 6 Great Skuas, 4 Manx Shearwaters, 2 Common Sandpipers, Great Northern Diver and a juvenile Sabine's Gull past between 07.00 and 12.30 (Thanks M. Darlaston)

Berry Head - 2 Sabine's Gulls past between 08.15 and 12.30, also 109 Kittiwakes, 70 Gannets, 23 Arctic Skuas, 15 Common Terns, 12 Balearic Shearwaters, 8 Great Skuas, 7 Sandwich Terns, 2 Mediterranean Gulls, an Arctic Tern and 2 Harbour Porpoise. 200 House Martins, 50 Swallows, 21 Chiffchaffs, 4 Willow Warblers, 2 Sand Martins and 2 Wheatears on the headland. Start Point - 10 Common Terns, 7 Balearic Shearwaters, 5 Sandwich Terns, 2 Great Skuas and a Little Gull past between 17.15 and 18.30 (Thanks M. Darlaston)

Bowling Green Marsh - 3 Curlew Sandpipers this morning, also Osprey and Green Sandpiper this afternoon (Thanks A. Leslie)

Dawlish Warren - 2 Arctic Skuas past, Redstart and Mediterranean Gull also onsite.

Exe Estuary - Slavonian Grebe still in the estuary.

Seaton - Little Stint on Black Hole Marsh today and a Hobby overhead early evening.

Plym Estuary - Osprey over Laira Bridge then flew towards Saltram at 14.35.

Fremington Quay - Spotted Redshank from the quay this evening.

Clovelly - First winter Mediterranean Gull in the harbour.

Saturday 5th

Exminster Marshes - Wryneck still present early morning (Thanks D. Stone) and the Wilson's Phalarope still, but no further sign of either by mid-morning.

Wembury - Grey Phalarope on the sea off the second field with horses west of the car park at 08.23.

South Brent - Osprey at Shipley Bridge flew along Avon Valley at 16.45.

Plym Estuary - Osprey again at the southern end of the estuary before flying off east.

Barnstaple - Spoonbill still off Anchor Wood bank.

Friday 4th

Exminster Marshes - Wilson's Phalarope on the large pool by the canal car park until 19.30 at least, also a Wryneck by the car park late afternoon. (Thanks M. Wolsinki)

Hartland Point - Juvenile Sabine's Gull past today, also 116 Manx Shearwaters, 10 Common Scoter, 4 Arctic Skuas, 2 Greenshank and a Great Skua (Thanks N. Bastin and M. Shakespeare)

West Charleton Marsh - Adult Roseate Tern still on the Kingsbridge Estuary from the hide at 09.00. (Thanks A. Doidge)

Bowling Green Marsh - Wilson's Phalarope still present early morning but no further sign by 08.30. Spotted Redshank present and 40 Yellow Wagtails over.

Beer - Wryneck still on Beer Head in bushes east of the lookout.

Kingsbridge Estuary - Adult summer Roseate Tern on the estuary along with 7 Greenshank and 3 Mediterranean Gulls (Thanks A. Doidge)

Exe Estuary - Slavonian Grebe still off Cockwood, and 2 Ospreys over the estuary between Dawlish and Powderham.

Hartland Point - 30 Manx Shearwaters, 3 Sooty Shearwaters, 2 Grey Phalaropes and a Little Tern past between 06.45 and 09.45.

Seaton - 6 Balearic Shearwaters and a Sooty Shearwater past.

Bishop's Tawton - Wood Sandpiper still at SS.560.310 this morning with 6 Green Sandpipers.

Wednesday 2nd

Berry Head - 2 possible Yelkouan Shearwaters past, also 582 Sooty Shearwaters, 324 Kittiwakes, 145 Balearic Shearwaters, 88 Manx Shearwaters, 50 Common Terns, 50 Arctic Skuas, 25 Great Skuas, 5 Common Scoters, 2 Arctic Terns and a Storm Petrel between 07.15 and 19.30 (Thanks M. Langman)
